Michael & Tonya Elgan: The Ring

SO TO GET BACK TO THE HAPPY BLOG EVERYONE LOVED SO MUCH!

Michael and I are happy annoying each other one day at a time :) We have been brought closer together in this past little while. We have learned how each other deals with things.. We have also learned that no matter what happens we will always be right there for each other. Being married it the BEST! I love Michael so much and I am so happy that on July 21, 2012 He finally asked me to marry him. I wanted to share the story of how he purposed!

Michael and I had been talking about a lot of different options for us after we said "I love you". Our choices were try long distance while I went to school in Texas, or stay in Logan and we get married.. Well one day Michaels good friend Evan sat us down to have a "family" talk. He asked us both what we wanted. He asked us if we loved each other and made us tell each other we did in front of him. We had never said it in front of anyone before so it was a little weird. After that talk we ended up deciding we wanted to get married and sooner than later.. So for the next two weeks Michael would fake purpose everywhere we went. Do you know how frustrating it is to have to go through that! He would when we would go to the store, or in front of all our friends at a BBQ. Even tell everyone to be quiet so he could purpose and then get down on one knee and say just kidding. Michael thought he was so funny. So one night we were staying up late watching Fools Gold one of my favorite movies. If you have seen the movie you no at the end of the movie they get engaged.. I looked at Michael and told him I was really getting annoyed of his head games about when he was going to purpose. I was thinking he was never going to do it. So he gets up and looks at me and asks me to marry him again. I finally had enough so I said no and to not ask again. He was really surprised by my answer. I told him Im sick of you getting me excited and then crushing my hopes. So he jumped off the bed and grabbed the ring out of his dresser came to the side of the bed. At this point all I could do was laugh. He started crying and asked if I would marry him, still all I could do was laugh. I didn't even look at the BEAUTIFUL ring his grandpa gave to him for me. So eventually I started crying and I think he had to ask again and I said yes and we kissed and hugged for a good five minutes! Perfect way to ask me. I never was one of those girls who wanted something extravagant. Simple is better for me. Michael and I are happy and very much in love. Nothing will ever change that! Michael and I plan on forever. We plan on giving Boston at least two siblings to play with. Not for a while though we have lots of plans before that!
