I know I said I wouldn't have time to post but tonight I just couldn't wait to share some funny and sweet things that happened today!
I love my job I mean absolutely love it. Even when it consists of boldly fluids and questionable substances getting on my scrubs I love every minute of it. I love that I have had the chance to care for the residents and get to know them. I have made some life Long friends and I am truly blessed to have had the opportunity to do so.
Today at work my favorite little lady came in to take care of her husband like she does almost everyday. She has sat down with me plenty of times and had long discussions about life and certain other topics.I love seeing her come in and care for her husband. Today she walked right in the kitchen and came up to me while I was making his dinner and said I brought you a card. While I read it it made me cry. I gave her two big hugs and thanked her for making my day. This is why my job is so amazing!! I'm so sad to be leaving!!
She gave me this sweet picture of them that I will keep in my personal journal. She is such a kind hearted person.
I'm going to miss seeing her family everyday!

Another funny story from work today. I was getting one of my funniest residents ready for bed. While I was cleaning in between his toes ( which he hates) and rubbing lotion on his feet he said " your breaking my toes off!" So While I kept doing it I said " I know I'm just a mean little lady aren't I?" He laughed and said " You're not mean, just DUMB!" I looked up at him and we both started laughing! If you could have only seen his face and mine after he said that! It one of those moments they call priceless! He has dementia so he won't remember ever saying which makes it even better!
I'm sad to be leaving a job and place I have grown to love but I am also excited to be with my husband again!
